Rules and Regulations

In general, all users must abide by the WordPress Terms of Service.

But allow me to summarize:

1. No porn. No hate speech. No spam. No harassment.

If you can’t figure out when a post constitutes porn, spam, hate speech, or harassment, then I’ll figure it out for you and delete it. Frequent abusers will be blocked.

This blog is moderated by me and I will be the sole arbiter of what is and isn’t acceptable. I reserve the right to be arbitrary and capricious in my decisions.

2. The nature of this blog is to allow for the free flow of creative ideas; as such moderation and censorship will be kept to a minimum. Therefore:

This blog and its comments may contain content that some may find objectionable. Parental discretion is advised.

Also, if you are easily offended and/or afraid of your own shadow, perhaps you should look elsewhere.

3. Irrelevant posts will be deleted. This is a place to grow and develop creative ideas, not a place to argue your various political/religious/social views. That’s what the rest of the Internet is for. [You may, of course, include these topics in your creative work, just keep it relevant.]

4. Don’t criticize/flame others. This is stupid, hurtful and pointless. So just don’t do it.

5. The material on this blog is open and free for anyone to use. This means that you may repost any content you find here and share as you see fit. The only thing I ask is that you give credit where credit is due and, where possible, link back to the original content.

This also means that if you have something you don’t want potentially used by someone else, don’t post it. It’s very unlikely that someone will try to steal your two-paragraph freewriting exercise and pass it off as their own, but if you have something that you’re intending to sell, you should probably keep it off the Internet.

6. Don’t post other people’s copyrighted material to this blog. Not only is that uncool, it defeats the purpose of this blog in the first place. So don’t do it.
